Validation and Testing

Silonex offers performance and yield validation of products and processes. One dedicated team of engineers manages both the design and introduction to Silonex' manufacturing lines, leading to an optimal choice of raw material and manufacturing processes as well as improving customers' time-to-market.

A complete range of testing methods and equipment are available. During the prototype validation phase, Silonex can internally or locally perform the following design proofing tests on pre-production units, while providing additional units for further testing by partners and/or customers:

• Functional testing of optoelectronic performance, including but not limited to:
  • total and spectral sensitivity
  • dark noise
  • angular sensitivity distribution
  • brightness source measurements
• Wire-bond pull tests and aging tests
• Thermal shock, temperature cycling and humidity tests
• Solderability tests
• Resistance to solder heat

In addition to its internal test capabilities, Silonex has access to reputed local test and certification facilities that can perform additional climatic and vibration tests according to numerous standards, including ASTM, European and MIL standards.
